Up 31% since the last post!

Good afternoon,

As always the below is not investment advice, but is for educational purposes. Since my last post the Long Short Portfolio, which is a Long Short Fund constructed out of the Nasdaq Composite is up 26.7851344%, while the index is down -4.3636638%. Attached is a daily record of the fund’s positions.

Today, the index was reorganized.

These securities were removed:

CERN Cerner Corporation Common Stock

INCY Incyte Corp. Common Stock

CDW CDW Corporation Common Stock

CHKP Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. Ordinary Shares

FOXA Fox Corporation Class A Common Stock

TCOM Trip.com Group Limited American Depositary Shares

FOX Fox Corporation Class B Common Stock

And these securities were added:

ABNB Airbnb, Inc. Class A Common Stock

DDOG Datadog, Inc. Class A Common Stock

FTNT Fortinet, Inc. Common Stock

LCID Lucid Group, Inc. Common Stock

PANW Palo Alto Networks, Inc. Common Stock

ZS Zscaler, Inc. Common Stock

Attached are my end of day positions, along with the investment record since inception, and updated Buy, Hold, and Sell recommendations. I’ll buy into the new securities tomorrow. Not excited about them though.

I beat the index by 31% over the last month and a few days by constructing an option strategy based around the volatility indicated by my Beta formula that is still detailed on the first excel sheet I posted to this site listing my positions. Its probably not as good as Gundlach’s Smart Beta Strategy, but its good. Most equity models are still using regressions to derive risk measures, as they have been since the sixties. Considering today’s highly manipulated markets, I disagree with this strategy.

Also, one my friends from High School and College, whom a roomed with for a few years is a Boston Police Officer and deserves a helping hand.

He tried to help me out after I reported to the Boston Police that I could mathematically prove Police Officers were being intentionally murdered and their deaths were being miscategorized as accidents. (I am very good at math, and can beat almost any casino I walk into.)

I asked for his help because after informing the Boston Police of this, my front axle separated from my SUV while I was driving home. Shortly thereafter, I was then arrested based off a false police report and held for five and a half months.

I haven’t spoken with him, but last week it was reported he and his entire immediate family was hit by a truck. It seems like too much of a coincidence to me to be random, but I haven’t spoken with him. He’s a good guy, my guess is he tried to turn in a Patrick Rose or something. Below is the article detailing the accident with a link to a fundraiser for him. Please contribute if you can.

Warmest Regards,
